Chemical Skin Peel

Chemical Skin Peel

Rejuvenate your skin’s texture and appearance

A chemical skin peel is a technique used to improve the condition and texture of your skin by using a chemical solution to remove the damaged outer layers. They can help reduce the appearance of fine lines & wrinkles, acne and scarring, melasma, rosacea, sun damage and pigmentation. They are great for reviving dull skin and giving you a brighter, clearer look with an even skin tone!

We use the NeoStrata Prosystem peels with a range of superficial peels in combination with home-care products. These include glycolic acid, mandelic acid and citric acid which are all naturally occurring therefore have minimum side effects. Every treatment is tailored to each individual with a complimentary skin analysis & consultation.

To achieve maximum and effective results we recommend a course of skin peels dependent on your skin type, tone and condition.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does it cost?

Our individual chemical skin peel cost is £75. A course of six peels is £360, although prices may vary depending on each individual.

How do the chemical skin peels work?

Chemical peels promote new cell growth by removing the damaged skin layers on the surface. They can be used to treat specific problems or just for a brighter and youthful appearance.

You will be recommended specific home-care products from the NeoStrata Prosystem tailored to your skin. These should be used to prepare your skin before a peel and post treatment for the utmost effective results.

What types of chemical skin peels are used?

We use a range of skin peels from the NeoStrata Prosystem range including glycolic acid, mandelic and citric acid peels. The strength of these starts low and increases over the course of the peels giving you the desired outcome. This is discussed and planned with our aesthetic practitioners on your consultation.

What happens during the procedure?

At your consultation we will discuss your worries and carry out a full skin analysis. You will have the option to use some home-care products which are most suited to your skin in preparation for the peel 2 weeks before the treatment. The procedure only takes 15-20mins and you can feel a tingling and warm feeling when the peel is applied.

What will I look like immediately after?

There is no downtime and you can resume with day-to-day activities. Your skin may be slightly red and sensitive but will look and feel normal after a few hours. For some patients healing time can take up to a week

What should I do or avoid after treatment?

You should avoid sun exposure and use an SPF factor 50 on your face.

You can start seeing visible improvements of your skin straight away but full results will be seen when the course of peels is completed.

How many treatments do I need?

We highly recommend a course of 3 to 6 chemical peels for optimum results with 4 week intervals. Clients can then maintain their results by having a follow-up chemical skin peel every 3 months. A treatment plan can be designed on your consultation.
